Band

Brad McNeill, Conductor

Elma High School offers several different music education options in the instrumental music area. The primary courses are called "band." The introductory courses are concert band, pep band and marching band. Each class during the school day is instructed by the section of instruments and then additional practices and performances are for the entire band.

For advanced students or those preferring additional challenge, we also offer a Jazz Band, which is both quite talented and committed to advancing music appreciation and skills. The Jazz Band performs locally and also at Jazz Music Festivals in the Northwest, which is quite an honor for a high school ensemble to be featured!

If you'd like to perform at games to support our teams, consider Pep Band. Concert Band has a focus on performance of music in a concert setting and may feature more classical music selections. Then, marching band often consists of spirited music and patriotic selections that may be used in parades, celebrations and other public events in the community and region.
