Katie Searle
Miss. Searle was born and raised in Kirkland, WA. She spent many years cruising through Kirkland, shopping in Bellevue, and swimming in Lake Washington. After high school she went straight to WSU. She graduated in four years majoring in Kinesiology and Health and Fitness Education. Go Cougs!!
After graduating she student taught at Juanita High School (in Kirkland) for one semester. In December 2006 she heard about a job opening here at Elma High School. She applied, interviewed, and received the 1st teaching job she ever applied for and has been teaching here since January 5th 2007.
Ms. Searle's Fitness Background
Ms. Searle has athletic experience in softball, basketball, soccer, and crew.
She rowed for Lake Sammamish Rowing Club and for WSU. In her spare time she taught fitness classes at the SRC in Pullman. Classes included cycling, step aerobics, and circuit training. Miss. Searle currently coaches Cross Country and Fastpitch. She teaches Family Health, Advanced PE, and Cardio Class.
This year Miss. Searle is working on her Master’s in Family Consumer Sciences and Career and Technical Education through Central Washington University.
