About our school
Elma has been a fully accredited school by the Northwest Associatino of Schools and Colleges since 1909. The public high school serves grades 9-12, has an enrollment of 642 students and will graduate 165 seniors in the Class of 2009. Elma High School operates on a 180-day schedule, complete with six class periods over two semesters.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Elma School District is to provide quality educational opportunities in a safe and healthy environment which will enable all students to become literate, productive, life-long learners, successful in a changing world. This is accomplished by utilizing appropriate resources and working in harmony with parents and community.
Faculty
Thirty-five teachers, all of whom hold Bachelor of Science, Arts, or Education degrees: twenty-four hold Master of Science or Arts degrees. A large number of classified staff also serve as support personnel. The current student to teacher ratio is 19:1.

The grading system utilizes a 4.0, non-weighted scale. The grade point averages are computed each semester as:
