Planning for a Career, College or plans beyond High School can be a little overwhelming! We'd like to offer the following resources as a guide to help you formulate questions, make decisions, and better plan for life during and beyond Elma High School.

Checklist and Timeline for High School Years In planning for College or life after High School, keep yourself on track with a month-by-month list of suggestions to check off, just to make sure that you're completely prepared.

FAFSA In January of the year that you first plan on attending College or an educational institution, fill out the FAFSA. For many of you, this will be the January of your senior year of High School. Undecided? Attend a College Fair! If you're not sure what to ask or how to get information, it may be best to attend a college fair. Remember, it is not only your time to gather information, but also a time to make contacts at schools that you might be interested in attending. Be prepared!

You think you've found the school you want! Apply! It usually will involve essays, a fee, transcripts and other statements written by you, but check off the School Application Checklist to make sure that you're ready to apply to schools.

Competition is a reality in attending certain schools or programs. If you must interview for admission to your training program, apprenticeship, or college admission, view some sample questions and be prepared. This will be your best opportunity to present yourself as professional and ready to work!

For those of you already decided, you may be packing items received as gifts during High School graduation and trying to fit it all in your dorm room, apartment or greek house. The reality is---not everything is going to fit in your room. Most rooms are small are limited. Review a checklist of common items to pack and decide what to leave home and what to take with you.
