Social Studies

About the Department

Three years of Social Studies coursework is prescribed for an Elma High School student to be fully introduced to the concepts and facts present in today's society. Sophomores begin their exploration with World History. Juniors continue to build on that education by completing United States History. Lastly, Seniors enroll in both Psychology and Contemporary World Problems/Economics. Many teachers in this department specialize in these areas and their class offerings can be explored on their individual pages.
